I believe in the power of food.

The wonderful ability for food to be your medicine.

I first learned that food could be a medicine when I used food to pull my sons out of the worlds of autism and ADHD. We were able to leave the world of pharmacology, allowing my sons to become functioning participants of society.

After seeing the changes in their behaviors and their health, it inspired me to delve deeper into the truth of nutrition. I then began seeing changes in my own health. Low-functioning immune system, Fibromyalgia, chronic sinus infections and seasonal allergies, migraines, digestive issues, and hypothyroidism all began to leave me.

What is Nourished from the Root?

First, I believe in the power of food. Eating a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food diet provides the fuel and essential building blocks the body needs to maintain health and balance.

Through a bio-identical approach to your food choices, we will create wellness and an environment of growth. This is where you will educate yourself to be aware of how your food and environment affects your health.

As a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I use evidence-based techniques to find your ideal food and supplementation needs, if you so choose to add in supplements during this time of change in your life.

Why?
Nutritional Therapy

Symptoms are your body’s attempt to let you know something is wrong. In today’s society’s mindset, we place a band-aid on our symptoms. I.e... over the counter or prescription medication, on our body and keep on pushing forward but not truly taking care of the symptom. In fact, eventually we get another symptom, and then another symptom and it continues.

If a warning light comes on in your car, do you put a piece of duct tape over the light, so you do not see it or do you go to someone to find the cause of the light coming on?

Nutritional Therapy can do just that for you - find the cause of why the light is coming on!
